WCC FAN Leadership Board
Sarrah Abidali (Nomanbhoy) graduated from Stanford in June 2012 with a B.A. in International Relations. At Stanford, Sarrah worked at the Women’s Community Center as a Co-Chair for the Stanford Women’s Leadership Conference and as Publicity Coordinator. During her final year, she worked to get FAN off the ground to give alumni the chance to reconnect with Stanford and the WCC. Sarrah studied abroad in Bhutan and South Africa, and took a gap year to work in Sri Lanka on a humanitarian coordination project after the civil war in 2009. Sarrah is passionate about social innovation, international development, gender, and migration issues. In the past, she has worked for the Grameen Bank, International College of American Nursing, Social Entrepreneurship Collaboratory, Global Fund for Women, Stanford’s Center for Social Innovation, the Sri Lankan Health Ministry, and Clothing Bank of South Africa. Sarrah now lives in Sri Lanka, where she is working to set up a start-up seed accelerator called Disrupt Unlimited to drive innovation in the Apparel industry.
Megan Andrews (bio forthcoming)
Marta Hanson is the Deputy Finance Director for the 2014 re-election campaign of California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris. Previously, she worked at NARAL Pro-Choice America, a reproductive rights lobbying and advocacy organization, in both Washington, DC and San Francisco. At Stanford, Marta served as WCC Outreach Coordinator, connecting and supporting leaders from numerous women's student groups and bringing awesome speakers, including the editors of Feministing.com, to campus. She majored in American Studies and Feminist Studies and managed to take classes for both while studying abroad in Spain and Germany. Marta also serves on the boards of Good Ol' Girls, a Bay Area women's professional network, and New Leaders Council, which trains and supports the next generation of progressive leaders. She enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, and spending time on rooftops. @martahanson
Arielle Humphries graduated from Stanford in June 2013 with B.A. in International Relations. While at Stanford, Arielle worked as the Women at Work Coordinator at the Women’s Community Center, was a member of the Black Student Union, was involved with two conferences on women’s political empowerment, and studied abroad in Paris for six months. Arielle considers both Seattle and Washington, DC home and is currently living in Brooklyn working with Organizing for Action and Hollaback! before attending law school in the fall.
Faith Kazmi, Ed.D is Associate Dean/Director of the Stanford Women's Community Center. She previously served as the Associate Director for the WCC for six years and in 2011, became the Director. Her work involves overseeing the function and mission of the WCC, in collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and alumni, in order to best serve the Stanford community. She is constantly inspired by conversations that take place in the space or during programs where the intersections of feminism and identity, leadership, and contemporary issues related to gender and social justice are explored. The WCC is an open and welcoming space where students are invited to explore issues, gain relevant skills for success both academically and professionally, and find a sense of community with others who care about making positive change. She believes in embracing innovative ways of addressing issues and promoting an inclusive space where conversations and action can emerge. Faith earned her BA in Psychology with a Management Minor from UC Irvine, and then ventured to University of Michigan, Ann Arbor for her MA in Higher Education Administration. She later earned her Doctor of Education degree from the University of San Francisco in Organization & Leadership at their School of Education.

Jane Nevins: Strategic storyteller. Design thinker. Project leader. Social entrepreneur. Jane is a startup veteran who creates content, communities, and partnerships that push the adoption and improvement of innovative technology. She is also a member of the Junior League of San Francisco, the California Child Welfare Council CSEC Action TeamMulti-System & Data Coordination Subcommittee, and volunteers on the Development Committee for the Transgender Law Center. Jane graduated from Stanford with a BA in Feminist Studies in 2005. @jane_e_nevins
Andreina Parisi-Amon, Ph.D., is a Partnership Manager at Coursera, where she helped launch the Teacher Professional Develompent and K-12 initiatives. Andreina works with instructors from a variety of institutions to help develop high-quality teacher PD on the Coursera platform and focuses on outreach and growth of the teacher PD vertical to make the courses more accessible and useful to teachers all over the world. She also works within the Pedagogy team to use data to innovate and improve the platform to help students learn effectively and empower instructors to reach their teaching goals. Outside of Coursera, Andreina is VP of Programs for Miss CEO, where she develops and teaches leadership curriculum to inspire and empower girls in middle and high school.
Catherine Rivera works at LinkedIn in the Global Sales Organization shaping how the company interacts with professionals and the community. She is passionate about high-impact philanthropic efforts by corporations and technology-based efforts to improve access to health care for young people. She graduated class of 2013 from Stanford with a B.A. in Human Biology. While attending Stanford she worked as the Herstory and Intern Program Coordinator at the Women’s Community Center, provided peer-counseling through the Sexual Health Peer Resource Center (SHPRC), and mentored middle school girls. Catherine also enjoys spending time with friends, visiting family in Chicago, and cheering for Stanford!
Dr. Prathima Setty is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist practicing in the Northern Virginia area. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and her special interests include reproductive endocrinology, contraception, preventive health, and minimally invasive surgical procedures. While in medical school, she was involved with the Women In Medicine group, served as treasurer for her class, and took part in a program in which she served as a medical advocate for a local pregnant adolescent. She is active in her local medical community as she participates in the Loudoun County Health Council and serves as an OB/GYN consultant for the newly formed prenatal program at the Loudoun Community Health Center. She is also a part-owner of a full service salon and medical spa and serves as a physician advisor for a medical compliance company. She stays involved in the international women's health community as the President of the D.C. Chapter of Save a Mother, a grassroots organization striving to decrease maternal and child mortality in India. While at Stanford, she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Biological Sciences and Art History. She also was treasurer for Sanskriti, worked as a biology lab teaching assistant, and served as an academic advisor. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two active children, as well as traveling, learning different languages, and experimenting with healthy recipes in the kitchen.
Mona Thompson graduated from Stanford in 2013 with a degree in Urban Studies and is living in San Francisco working on a number of theater projects and teaching improv. Currently, she works in the office of BATS Improv and with ReDesigning Theater at Stanford. In school, she spent two years as the Publicity Coordinator at the Women's Community Center, worked as the Social Media & Marketing Manager for I Thrive at Stanford, was a co-leader of the Stanford Improvisors (or SImps, for short), and was a Peer Health Educator in a freshman dorm. Mona is excited about storytelling, social justice, and feminist comedians.
Amparo Vazquez lives in Washington, DC, where she specializes in pointing out the superhero in all (officially billed as a project manager). Though she studied International Relations at Stanford (BA '08) and, later, International Affairs at George Washington University (MA '11), her true passion and inspiration lies in development and transformation of the individual and the organization. She believes the clearest path to profound global/organizational change is by way of empowering the individual to then lead the great change. She is honored to join the WCC FAN Leadership Board, as the WCC was responsible for the most profound transformation within Amparo during college (hence her passion!).

Desiree Fabunan is (pretty much) a native Californian, having grown up in Southern California and later moved to Northern California for college. While at Stanford, Desiree studied Management Science and Engineering and focused her extracurricular efforts on social dance and business. In particular, she is proud to have been a part of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, Swingtime, and SSE as Managing Director of Advertising. After graduating in 2009, Desiree joined AT&T's Leadership Development Program, where she worked in acquisitions strategy and venture capital as well as led large teams of 20+ individuals in call centers and network centers. Upon graduating the LDP Program, she received a tremendous opportunity to manage the PR and speaking engagements for the Chairman and CEO of AT&T. She currently works in this capacity and resides in Dallas, TX. When not focusing on her professional life, Desiree loves to explore the best dessert spots, experience the best dining, and spend time with family and friends.
Cristina Muñoz was raised in the bog-water swamps of south west Florida by a family of wayward yet compassionate alligators. Far from the banks of the Caloosahatche, she's managed to etch out a whimsical livelihood on the West Coast. Professionally, she arranges letters, numbers and symbols in a semi-random syntax colloquially referred to as 'code'. Surreptitiously, she ferments a variety of vegetal substances under the thinly veiled guise of being a "foodie", a word whose very origins have been obscured for centuries.
Nita Singh Kaushal has extensive experience leading successful products and teams in the consumer internet, mobile and nonprofit sectors. Nita is the Founder of Miss CEO, an educational startup focused on the delivering premier leadership training, educational resources and mentoring to girls ages 12-18. Nita was recently a senior manager at Yahoo! where she led an innovative and high performance suite of display media products. She began her career at Intel, where she contributed to the product evangelism and development of Intel's Centrino wireless platforms and other key mobile technologies. Nita graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. While in college, Nita developed a passion for helping girls and young women develop leadership skills and advance in underrepresented fields. In addition to being on the WCC FAN Leadership Board, she has also served as the Co-President of Yahoo! Women in Tech, a 500+ member organization committed to attracting, developing and retaining more women in technical and executive positions. Nita happily resides in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area and enjoys traveling, reading, hiking and indulging in the local culinary scene.
